Around The Next Corner

Featured here are the lyrics from my second Album – Around the Next Corner, released in August 2010. Fuller, started writing songs int he same year he first picked up a golf club – the tender age of 10. Dad just handed ma a gutiar and I learned the covers (songs) and for some reason I had the ambition and desire to create my own songs. For this Album his focus is on playing solo with his 12-string acoustic Marand guitar. This album resonates with his life experiences, growing up on the West Coast, the loving the ocean, loving life, love and his passion for original mustic. Fuller quotes, “I like to keep the music to its roots”.

LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

Every time I see you

Makes a shiver down my spine,

You hurt me so bad

Just like the other times,

Every time I see you,

You make me feel so cruel,

Why do you keep coming around here,

Like you’ve done before,

Chorus

You were so fine,

In your time,

Bup bup dup bup bup bup da da da da da da

Now time has gone,

And you’re just another lonely soul, that’s right

You walk so fine and talk smooth too,

Your actions are high

But you’re all but true,

Now you have to see,

What you’ve done to me,

Why don’t you understand,

That you don’t belong to me,

You were so fine,

In your time,

Bup bup dup bup bup bup da da da da da da

Now time has gone,

And you’re just another lonely soul,

Just another lonely soul, yeah

You were so mean,

Oh yes I know,

Why didn’t you understand,

That you never belong to me

you never belong to me

you never belong to me

you never belong to me

You were so fine,

In your time,

Bup bup dup bup bup bup da da da da da da

Now time has gone,

And you’re just another lonely soul

And you’re just another lonely soul

And you’re just another lonely soul

SHE WONDERS

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

She sits in her rocking chair, every day.

Making her cup of green tea, looking over the bay.

She wonders where he’s been

She wonders where he is.

She wonders if he’s gonna bring her joy, or bring her tears.

He’s been gone for seven days now, the trip was meant to be five.

Everyday gets longer and longer now, she prays him to be alive.

She wonders where he’s been.

She wonders where he is

She wonders if he’s gonna bring her joy, or bring her tears.

Could he have made this different, if he’d come A-Ground?

She can’t stop thinking of the worse, capsizing – there’s no sound.

She wonders where he’s been.

She wonders where he is

She wonders if he’s gonna bring her joy, or bring her tears.

They got quota on the first day, but they wanted more.

They got greedier and greedier, so they decided to stack the floor.

The vessel got too heavy and couldn’t take the weight,

The weather came in, by that time it was too late.

It went down in two minutes, two men left in the sea.

No nautical miles, off the coastal land.

Two men swimming in the ocean with no plan.

Their chances of survival were slim to none.

Their chances of survival, were slim to none.

They never returned home.

They died too young.

They died too young.

They died too young.

They died too young.

They died too young.

She sits in her rocking chair.

She looks over the bay.

She always loved her husband, who never returned home that day.

YOU GOTTA

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

I feel so helpless, I want to apologise to you,

I don’t know if I’ve done wrong, I don’t know what to do.

Now I’ve seen the light but I still feel really confused.

Am I going in the right direction, or do I still feel for you?

You can travel down one long road all your mighty life.

You can travel downy many paths that get split up by the knife …

You gotta follow your heart, you gotta follow your mind.

You gotta listen to family, you gotta give it time.

You gotta be young, and free, you gotta be happy.

You gotta be in love, open your eyes and see.

Oh darling, what have I done?

Oh darling, what have I become?

Oh darling, I’ve been lost out at sea.

Can you please come back and rescue me?

I will always love you.

You will always be a part of my heart.

I never wanted to hurt you.

I never wanted to make you cry.

I never wanted to lose you all together,

I never wanted to say goodbye.

But I am blinded, I am blinded, I am blinded, I am blinded

I am blinded, I am blinded.

Can you please help me see?

I’m like a flower without a bee.

Yeah, I’m like a leaf without a tree.

Yeah, I’m like a door without a key.

Can you please come back and rescue me?

HONEY

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

When I saw her for the first time.

My eyes could not leave here, she was so fine.

The way she walked up to me,

I introduced myself, she said, “Hi, my name’s Honey”.

Oh Honey, can you be my baby?

I know you know nothing about me.

I wish you could fall in love with me.

But all I want is for you to be happy.

I kept starin’ into her eyes.

She didn’t know that I loved her deep inside.

We became friends, but I wanted that to end.

I wanted it to be more than just friends.

I am falling so hard for her.

I am scared to tell her how I feel.

She has no idea how I feel.

But could she make my dreams become real?

Oh honey, can you be my baby?

I know you know nothing about me.

I wish you could fall in love with me.

But all I want is for you to be happy.

I went to sleep and dreamt about her.

She was the first that I thought of when I woke.

I can’t get her out of my mind.

Am I going crazy, or love blind?

Oh Honey, please understand.

All I want is to be your man.

If anything happened in this world.

It would be for you to say that you are my girl.

Oh Honey, can you be my Baby?

I know you know nothing about me.

I wish you could fall in love with me.

But all I want is for you to be happy.

To be happy.

To be happy, yeah.

OH SISTER

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

I’ve seen her crying, I’ve seen those tears hit the wall.

It doesn’t mean much to anybody, the way that she doesn’t fall.

Emotional like the oceas, so unpredictable.

It can kill anybody that gets too close for home.

It’s too late. It’s too long for you.

Oh Sister, won’t you please come home?

I’ve seen the seasons, all throughout the year.

Everything in cycles, broken up in tears.

What goes up must come down.

Searching for the answer, going round and roung.

Why I’m one to judge, it doesn’t make any sense.

No one will understand all through her defence.

It’s too late, it’s too long for you.

Oh sister, won’t you please come home?

I know I’ve seen her cry, I’ve always asked myself why.

Is it me, or the world around me, or just a simple question to ask why?

Year, I love her with all of my heart.

It doesn’t matter what goes around, in the end it’s better for everyone.

The connections like a small town.

I’ve seen those ghosts she’s told me about.

they thought she was lying, but I have no doubt.

It comes and goes when you’re all alone.

It means no harm for anyone at home.

I’ve seen her smiling, cheeck to cheeck.

the patterns through the realm, make her too strong to be weak.

The feelings of satisfaction to see her at the break of day.

Bringing the whole wide world to a standstill.

When she wants her own way.

It’s too late, it’s too long for you.

Oh sister, won’t you please come home?

YOU CAN MAKE IT ON YOUR OWN

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

A long time ago he got kicked out of home.

Went to his mates place, stayed awhile.

He stayed there for days, weeks, months, until May

It wasn’t easy for him to live, or for his family to give.

You can make it, you can make it on your own.

He got a job, found a groove for awhile.

He played in a band, work, sex, drugs and alcohol.

Five years had passed all jelled into a daze,

He got back on his high horse and made his own way.

You can make it, you can make it on your own.

You can make it, you can make it on your own.

Working hard for years, got stuck in the motion.

Paying for family, mortgage, debt, and living by the ocean.

Pending it hard to keep his family’s head above water.

The two most beautiful things in his life is his son and daughter.

You can make it, you can make it on your own.

You can make it, you can make it on your own.

His belief in his mustic, love and his family.

Works so hard for all those dreams that he’s gonna be.

Finds it hard sometimes to know what is true.

But make the greatest father figure, son and brother too.

You can make it, you can make it on your own, yeah..

You can make it, you can make it on your own, yeah.

The journey seems tough and something’s dark.

You never know what will get thrown at you.

But I know he believes in one thing and that’s himself.

So keep believing brother for your family, love and your health.

You can make it, you can make it on your own, yeah.

You can make it, you can make it on your own, yeah.

WHAT I'D GIVE

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

I look out my window, I look out to sea.

I look at the sun rising, (but you’re all I can see x2)

I drive past your old house, and I wave to your mumma.

She’s sitting on the front porch, (but you’re all I can see x3)

Oh what I’d give, for one more day with you.

For one more day with you,

Oh what I’d give.

He only takes the best x5

Oh what I’d give for one more day with you.

For one more day, day with you.

Oh what I’d give

Oh what I’d give

Oh what I’d give

REMEMBER THAT NIGHT

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

Remember that night, too long ago?

Dancing in the moonlight, couldn’t let you go.

Remember that night, you in that silk dress?

Looking so fine, took away my breath.

Can we go back, can we go back to that night?

I wanna go back, I wanna go back, to that time.

Like the ocean tide, I didn’t see the danger.

Shared the lows and highs, now you’ve become a stranger.

Too blind to see your loyalty, can I right the wrong?

Now here you lay, asleep by my side,

In dreams far away and I’m drowning inside.

Can we go back, can we go back to that night?

I wanna go back, I wanna go back, to that time.

Your hand rests in mine as the dawn breaks the night.

I go back into time, when love felt so right

GHOST SHIP

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

There’s a ghost ship on my mind, full of people I have known.

Friends and family who have died, too young before their time.

There’s a ghost ship on my mind, that I call upon some times.

When darkness clouds my way, this is what I hear them say.

Don’t take it for granted, make the most of what you’ve got.

You got life, you got love, you got your life, you’ve got the lot.

Don’t take it for granted, make the most of what you’ve got.

You got life, you got love, you got your life, you’ve got the lot.

There’s a ghost ship on my mind, full of people I have known.

But I know their work’s not done, I see them having fun.

There’s a ghost ship on my mind, that I call upon sometimes.

They have drifted faraway, but the fog will part some day.

I see them laughing, I see them smoking, I see them dancing, I see them joking.

I see them laughing, I see them smoking, I see them dancing, I see them joking.

Don’t take it for granted, more the most of what you’ve got.

You got life, you got love, you got your life, you’ve got the lot.

Don’t take it for granted, more the most of what you’ve got.

You got life, you got love, you got your life, you’ve got the lot.

There’s a ghost ship on my mind, that I call upon sometimes.

When darkness clouds my way, this is what I hear them say.

There’s a ghost ship on my mind, and it’s leaving me behind.

In it’s wake, for me to find, is the best way to use my mind.

There’s Trish lighting up a durry,

Ziggy smashing spices for the curry.

Don’t flying high, Jarrod’s standing by,

Norm’s telling a story with a twinkle in his eye.

Yeah, YE-E-EAH

Wow, OH O-OH

Yeah, YE-E-EAH

Wow, OH O-OH

Wow, OH O-OH

Wow, OH O-OH

Wow, OH O-OH

Suddenly I can see reality disappearing.

Suddenly I can see a fantasy in front of me.

L O U I S . F U L L E R

L . Y . R . I . C . S
LYRICS . MUSIC BY LOUIS FULLER

They’ve cheated, they’ve cheated.

Everybody’s cheater, you got to admit it.

We’re all on the same boat and we’ve goyt a big bloody hole in it.

We’re fuckin’ bloody sinking, sinking to the bottom.

Why isn’t anybody swimming to the shore?

Why isn’t anybody screaming for help?

Because they’re guilty, they’re all guilty.

Very fucking guilty and they all know it.

They are guilty, they are guilty.

Very fucking guilty and they should all show it.

I’m just playing my guitar and singing a tune.

I’m just playing my guitar and thinking of you, yeah.

I’m feeling it, you’re feeling it.

Everybody’s feeling it, ohh, you’ve got to admit it.

We’re in it, you’re in it.

Everybody’s in it, we’re all in it for the long run.

I’m just sitting in the boat the ocean’s rising high.

I might as well play my guitar coz I’m gonna die.

ohh, coz I am guilty, I am guilty,

I am very fucking guilty and I want you all to know it.

We are all in the same boat and we’ve got a big bloody hole in it, yeah.

Why isn’t anybody swimming to the shore?

Why isn’t anybody screaming out for help?
